 Welcome to my Halo Mk VI Spartan armor status update page. I'll be using this page
to track the status of my armor build for my Master Chief costume from the Halo "Forward Unto Dawn" mini series.I started this project in April of 2013 and my original objective was to have the complete costume finished and ready to wear at Mid South Con 32 in March of 2014. Unfortunately due to me spending all of my spare time in 2013 playing in a rock band, I didn't achieve that objective. Now that I've missed the window for Mid South Con 32, my new objective was Halloween 2014! BUT, that was before I made the decision to change from the Halo 3 game acurate costume, to the costume worn by Master Chief in the Forward Unto Dawn mini series. Now that I've basically started completely over, my new goal is to complete this build in time for the August 23rd, 2014 Memphis Redbirds game. That will be their Super Hero and Comic night game for this year and I usually go in a Star Wars costume but I plan to unleash Master Chief on the unsuspecting Memphis populace at that event! April 27, 2014 UPDATE: Now that the decision has been made to build the "Forward Unto Dawn" or FUD armor, I've had to start over and I pepped out the entire helmet this weekend. (That was a pretty big accomplishment.) I've posted some photos of the helmet in its current state and the last one is a size comparison between the Mark VI and the FUD helmets. I knew after I got the Mark VI to the point it is at, that I'd have to rebuild it anyway...it's just too big. I scaled the FUD helmet down a tiny bit and I think the results overall will be much better. 
 Here is the size comparison. The Mark VI was really too big. Also on the FUD helmet, you can see the brim is a little to high on the wearer's left so I'll correct that with some tension prior to resin and Rhondo so it'll be more "level".  March 2014 UPDATE: After getting kickstarted back into the pepakura in February, I made a fateful decision... I'm stopping work on the Spartan Mark VI and going to build the Master Chief costume from the "Forward Unto Dawn" mini series instead. What does that mean you ask? Well, all of the work I've done on my costume to date is all for naught. I won't be able to use any of the armor pieces I already created on the new version of Master Chief.
