My Jeep Gallery
The most fun you can have on four wheels...
I've owned four different Jeeps and the gallery below is a history of those vehicles.

This was my very first Jeep. It was dark blue with grey and silver trim. I mainly played with this Jeep and learned the basics of Jeep ownership. It had a black soft-top and a killer stereo but that's about it other than the special Laredo trim package. It sported stock chrome Jeep wagon spoke wheels and GoodYear Wrangler Radials. The only customized thing on this Jeep was a set of nice chrome nerf bars. Oh and YES, that is a Member's Only Jacket!- LAREDO trim package
- 258 c.i. AMC 6 cylinder with stock carburetion
- Stock 5-speed tranny, drivetrain and suspension

1985 Jeep CJ7 Laredo
This 85 Jeep CJ7 Laredo was the first off-road vehicle that I actually modified. It was black with grey and silver Laredo trim. I installed a Rancho 2 1/2 inch add-a-leaf suspension lift kit and Rancho shocks to this Jeep. It had a black factory hard top, black soft-top, and a black fast-back soft top. It also had a monster stereo. It had 15 X 10 chrome modular wheels and 33 X 12.5 Roadhandler Radials. This was my first Jeep with a hardtop. Luckily, it also had an aftermarket air conditioner installed, which made life with the hardtop more bareable. I found the off-road lights and the light bar at a garage sale for $20!- LAREDO trim package

1991 Jeep Wrangler YJ Sport
This was the first (and only) Jeep that I bought brand new (literally off the showroom floor). It was red with grey interior and a black hard top. It had 29" Goodyear Wrangler Radial tires and 15 X 8 American Racing Outlaw aluminum wheels added by the dealer. It didn't have air conditioning, so you can guess how often the top stayed in the garage! I basically left this Jeep in the trim you see pictured until I had to trade it in on a new Chevy Astro van...kids you know. It was my first fuel injected Jeep so I really enjoyed that a lot.- 242 c.i. 4.0 Litre High Output (4.0L H.O.) 6 cylinder with fuel injection
- stock 5-speed tranny and drivetrain
- 15X8 American Racing Outlaw aluminum wheels and 29" Goodyear Wrangler Radial tires
- Factory hardtop and doors

1993 Jeep Wrangler YJ Sport
This 93 Wrangler YJ is the Jeep I'll always love the most. The photo below is what it looked like when I first bought it. Red with grey interior and a grey soft top. It had stock tires and Jeep aluminum wheels when I got it, but look at the next photos to see how I changed all that.

1993 Jeep Wrangler YJ Sport
This photo is after I installed the 4 inch Pro-Comp lift and 2 1/2 inch Con-Ferr shackles (total of 6.5 inches of lift). I had replaced the stock Jeep wheels with 15 X 10 inch Centerline HT cast racing wheels and 33 X 12.5 inch tires. You can also see the off-road lights added to the front bumper with those bright yellow padded covers. The lighting was off because I took these shots right at sun-down so the paint looks off from the actual red.

Another snow photo. In this one you can see I've added the windshield bracket mounted off road lights with the matching ugly yellow covers!

In its final trim this is how it looked. This picture also shows the damage where I hit a deer on the interstate and bent the front bumper and both fenders. One of the off-road lights and a black plastic bumper extension were also victims of that incident.- 242 c.i. 4.0 Litre High Output (4.0L H.O.) 6 cylinder with fuel injection
- Stock 5-speed tranny and drivetrain

This photo was taken in this Jeep's prime. It was a daily driver and as soon as the weather got slightly warm, that top came off! I had some really large heavy duty clear plastic bags that I would keep in the console just in case it rained while I was at work. I can't tell you how many times I did get caught in the rain but that never stopped me from going topless.

1993 Jeep Wrangler YJ Sport - a long story that doesn't have an ending...YET
Fast forward to 2012 and I had begun to have reliability issues with the 93 Wrangler. I ended up buying a new 2012 Nissan Frontier Crew Cab pick up truck to replace it as my daily driver. The Jeep got parked in the back yard inside the fence to wait on future repairs.Well. those repairs never happened so I ended up selling the 93 to my brother-in-law that lived in North Carolina. He brought a trailer with him and hauled it away to NC. While he had it, he got all the repairs done on it and was planning to use it on his farm. As far as I know it never made it to the farm. Eventually his wife decided to get some body repairs and other customizations done to it for his birthday.
Fast forward about four years and in 2016 I was working in Danville, Virginia and my son came to work there and needed a vehicle. My brother-in-law let him use the Jeep to get back and forth to work and one night, the engine threw a rod and busted a chunck out of the block and the oil pan. The Jeep went back into hibernation. My brother-in -law was fortunate that a friend of his had a 4.0 HO motor out of a Cherokee that he gave him. Dennis rebuilt the motor but never got it in the Jeep. My wife ended up buying the Jeep back from Dennis and in November of 2023, he and I dropped the motor in the Jeep and I towed it back home to Olive Branch, Mississippi.
Now the Jeep is just waiting on me to get the time to have someone finish the install of the motor and connect everything back up in order to get it running again.
STAY TUNED
