Other Music Sites

Here are some sites for musicians, bands or just music-related that I like or visit often.

The KevZone Music page

Anything music related.

I've been playing guitar since I was around 16 years old (you can just guess how many years that is...). I've played in five separate bands that span over four decades of rock and roll. From the 70's hard rock, early 80's pop and on to the late 80's heavy metal and hair bands, I've enjoyed playing in every one!

I'm currently working on two acoustic projects. One features me as a solo acoustic performer and the other project is called Southern Echo. Southern Echo is the name I'll be using for my acoustic duo performances. I've got the necessary gear to run both projects and am basically in the "rehearsing" stage right now with hopes to have both acts performing live in public once I retire. Stay tuned.

I hope you find the photo gallery and history of my playing interesting.

I've also provided links to other music related sites and some of the local band sites in the Memphis and Mid-South area.

TANGENT

From 1979 to 1980, Tangent was the first band I put together. Along with drummer Scot O'Leary, guitarist Howard Champion and bassist John Davis, we played hard rock songs that are now staples on classic rock radio.

FANTASIA

1981...a new year, a new band and a new direction. After the break up of Tangent, I joined this five-piece called Fantasia. A bit of a departure for me musically but still a fun group. Out of my comfort zone but ths band taught me a lot. For more of the scoop on Fantasia, click here.

GRAFIX

1989...after a seven year layoff I got the itch to play again. I called up my my old drumming buddy Scot O'Leary and the rest is history. 80s rock...Poison, Warrant, Autograph, Whitesnake...you know the drill.
